1. Water source
Identify whether the source is a bore well, pond, canal or river because this affects pump type, water level and installation.
2. Head and pipe distance
Collect water level, delivery height, pipe length and pipe diameter to understand the pressure the system must overcome.
3. Required water volume
State the required litres per minute, cubic metres per day or water volume over a defined operating period.
4. Destination system
High tanks, drip irrigation, sprinklers and direct delivery can require different pressure conditions.
5. Existing pump and location
If a pump exists, prepare its HP, voltage, phase, model and site photos, plus potential panel location and shading.
